Welcome to Knit Things!

I am forever knitting and messing about with knitting related things so I thought I'd start a blog as seems to be the thing at the moment.
I own a yarn shop in Malvern, England with my Mum, it's like having an infinite stash. We've been going for about a year and although I've always loved knitting, I am really into it now and ALL my free time is spent knitting. Well, except when my kids are around because then I get no peace! When they are a tiny bit older they will be at it too though.
I love all the new yarns and am a real sucker for colour especially variegated yarn like Colinette and Noro.
Anyway, this morning, in between endless e-mails to my husband discussing a blog name, I've finished a Debbie Bliss teddy for my friend Kate who had a baby boy last week. I'm quite pleased with it mainly because his face looks OK, not too scary. I thought it would be a real pain because it's in moss stitch and I hate sewing up fiddly things, but it really didn't take long and I quite enjoyed it.
My next project for today is to make a garter stitch Colinette Enigma scarf for the shop and I must order some more Kool-Aid.
